Daily Breathworks
Discover the magic of conscious breathing and gain insights, inspiration and clarity with themed breathworks led by Dominik. Through the power of your breath, you are taken on a journey to connect to your own truth and to feel the essence of what it means to be you. Daily guided breathwork sessions are a transformative experience that can lead to lasting change and a beautiful unfolding of the path you are on.
Daily Workshops & Experiences
Individually, with a partner or in a group, we take you through self-inquiry and connection exercises that have been most powerful on our own journeys. You have a chance to challenge your believes and thought patterns, witness and be witnessed, find liberation from what is holding you back and so much more.
Daily Yoga, Meditation & Movement
We start every day with movement, yoga or active meditation, to get us into the body and our felt sense. Throughout the days we guide you through other conscious movement exercises, such as Contact Beyond Contact and Intuitive Dance.
Celebration & Togetherness
There is plenty of time to experience the power and beauty of being part of a community. We share our meals together, dance, sing, enjoy live music and celebrate in a conscious and connected way.
Guidance & Support
Among the core crew, as well as guest facilitators, we have a team of breathworkers, yoga teachers, coaches, mentors, massage therapists and energy healers. You are able to book individual sessions as well as ask for support during your time with us.
Healthy Meals
Nurturing and nutritious meals are served throughout the day. We offer two main meals, brunch and dinner, and plenty of snacks to keep us fuelled throughout the day. We focus on regional, fresh and seasonal ingredients.
Time in Nature
Located in a peaceful, remote location with abundant nature all around, perfect for hikes and rest time.
MEET YOUR GUIDES
Both Dina and Dominik love to hold space for others and have been doing it individually and together for years. They are also a couple and their unique gifts are very complementary. Kindness, Safety and Presence. Empathy, Wisdom and Joyfulness is what you can expect from them.
LOCATION
Mae d' agua, Monchique, Algarve, Portugal
Mae d' agua means "Mother of the waters" in Portuguese. A beautiful land on Picota mountain in the south of Portugal, where the water of the Algarve is born. With lots of fresh spring water, lakes and lagoons this is a magical place that supports people on their inner journey since many years.
It is not your typical retreat center, but the home of families, that dedicate their lives to taking care of the land, supporting transformational work and creating community. It used to be the home of Dominik and Dina.
We will do our work in the spacious dome, in the tipi, the yoga deck, the sweat lodge or under one of the ancient oak trees.

NOURISH & INTEGRATE
We will eat mostly local, seasonal and plant based meals with ingredients straight from the local farmers. Creating a reliable, memorable food experience for you.
There is a sauna on the land we will use to cleans and relax. Followed by a dip in the lake or one of the natural pools. We have stunning views all around and vast clear skies to marvel at the milky way.
Mae d' agua is a wild place in the middle of lush nature where you will find comfort in simple beauty and stillness. A land that supports deep work.
HOW TO GET THERE
Mae da agua is situated 30-40 minutes from the west coast (Aljezur) and the south coast (Portimão) of the Algarve.
The closest airport is Faro with a bit more than 1h drive. We recommend to fly there, if you come from abroad. We can arrange a transfer for you or you take a bus via Portimão.
From Lisbon there are many cheap but comfortable bus options (3-4h drive) to Portimão.
The nearest bus station is Monchique, 4kms from Mae da agua. From there buses run down to Portimão regularly. From here you can either take a taxi or give us a call and we may be able to come and collect you.
